Crichton, Michael

The American author, physician, director and teacher John Michael Crichton was a remarkable person for several reasons: he was 206 cm tall; he was a popular author and director as well as a respected debater and public speaker; and he was an authority on a raft of topics from computer programming to climate change. In 1994, he was the first to have featured at the top of three major bestseller lists in the United States simultaneously with the novel Disclosure (1993), the television drama E.R. and the film Jurassic Park, based on his novel with the same name.
