American author, poet, editor and publisher, who wrote his first published novel Bat’s Belfry when he was 15 years old. When he died, he had written more than 150 books in a row of literary genres, and he left behind him a large number of unpublished manuscripts. His publisher’s, Arkham House, are rather legendary when it comes to primarily fantasy and horror literature, and he was a respected lecturer and cultural debater.
