Ian Lancaster Fleming was an English author and journalist born in London. He created James Bond, code name 007 – one of the most famous fictional spies of the 20th century known from a great number of books, films, radio plays etc., only a small number of which were in fact written by Fleming. Some were a great deal better, but none has had the same impact.
