Robert Goddard is a popular, much-translated and lauded British thriller writer with an unusual and highly personal style. His novels are multifaceted, but they mainly concern historical descriptions – or stories about events with roots way back in time – with intricate plots on many layers. They are usually based on psychological tension, but quite often have elements of, for example, a whodunit and a spy thriller. In 2019 he was awarded the prestigious Diamond Dagger by the British Crime Writers’ Association for his crime novels.
