John Hart is considered to be one of the great names in American crime fiction during the 21st century. All of his books have ended up on the bestseller lists in the USA, and he is the first author to win MWA (Mystery Writers of America) Edgar awards for two consecutive novels: Down River (2007) and The Last Child (2009). Several of his other books have gained prizes in the USA as well as Great Britain, he has been translated into about 30 languages and has been compared with such writers as John Grisham and Scott Turow. In Sweden, however, his novels have strangely passed unnoticed: none of them has been translated.
