Elizabeth Haynes is a British author of crime fiction. She grew up in Seaford, Sussex and read English, German and Art History at the University of Leicester. She then worked in a number of different professions including car sales and the medical industry, and as an au pair in Berlin in 1989 before she was employed as a police intelligence analyst for Kent Police. She attended a creative writing course at West Dean College in Sussex in 2005 and in 2006 she submitted the draft for a so far unpublished novel to a competition.
