Proulx, Annie

Edna Annie Proulx is an American author, the oldest of five sisters born in Norwich, Connecticut. Her father was a French-Canadian who worked in textiles. Her mother was an artist. Proulx attended college in the 1950s, but dropped out when she married her first husband. She has been married three times, and she has three sons and one daughter.
