Sanders, Lawrence

Lawrence Sanders was an author and journalist born in Brooklyn, New York. His father was an economist, and the family moved home several times during his formative years. Sanders attended schools in Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana and elsewhere before he graduated with a BA in literature from Wabash College, Crawfordsville, Indiana. He then returned to New York and worked in a department store before doing his military service in 1943–46.
