Suter, Martin

The Swiss author Martin Suter was born and raised in Zurich. He began to write early, decided to make writing his livelihood, and at the age of nineteen he became a copywriter. In the 1970s, he travelled all over the world writing travel features for Geo magazine, he became a popular columnist, playwright and author of screenplays for film and television until he subsequently gave up writing advertising copy and switched to fiction. Suter lived for over twenty years with his family in Guatemala and Ibiza. He returned to Switzerland in 2014 and now lives in Zurich.
