Tartt, Donna

The American novelist Donna Tartt was born in Greenwood and grew up in Grenada, both in the State of Mississippi. She enrolled at Mississippi University in 1981, but the following year she moved to Bennington College, Vermont, where she came into contact with Bret Easton Ellis and Jill Eisenstadt and began to write her debut novel. She graduated in 1986. Donna Tartt lives in New York and Virginia.
