Westö, Kjell

Kjell Westö is a Finland-Swedish author and journalist who writes in Swedish. He grew up in an upper middleclass family living in Helsinki. He read sociology at university and has worked as a journalist at the Hufvudstadsbladet and Ny Tid newspapers. He has two sons with his partner Jenny Westergård who works and the Finland-Swedish television corporation. Westö lives in Helsinki.
