Woodrell, Daniel

Daniell Woodrell is an American author born in Springfield, a town situated in the Missouri Ozarks, a plateau and mountain range on the border between Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma. When he was one year old, the family moved to St. Charles near St. Louis, Missouri, where he grew up. When his father got a new job fourteen years later, they transferred to Overland Park in Kansas City. Woodrell started high school, but soon dropped out.
